DAY 1 · Munich
Meet your guide and settle into the journey. As evening arrives, head into Munich’s old town: glowing stalls, a towering Christmas tree, and the scent of roasted almonds. There is time to find your first favourite treat and enjoy being here.

Travel north with your guide at the wheel. Discover Nuremberg’s old-town streets before an evening among the festive stalls. Browse traditional decorations, try something warming, and follow the scent of gingerbread through the square.
Overnight base: NurembergDAY 3 · Nuremberg → Rothenburg ob der Tauber
Leave the city behind for medieval lanes and half-timbered houses. Spend the afternoon wandering Rothenburg, with time for little shops, photographs and a café stop. Stay for the lights: the town takes on a different kind of magic after dusk.

Continue west to Heidelberg. Settle in before exploring the old town, where festive stalls bring warmth to the winter streets. Enjoy the evening at your own pace, with your guide nearby to help you find your feet.

Cross into France and arrive in Strasbourg. After time to settle in, head out together into the decorated streets. The cathedral quarter and festive squares set the scene for your first Alsatian evening.

A day with no change of hotel gives you time to look a little closer. Explore Petite France, choose a leisurely lunch, and revisit a favourite market. Enjoy shared time with your guide and space for discoveries of your own.

Continue to Colmar, where colourful houses and intimate squares invite you to slow down. Explore the old town, pause for an Alsatian lunch, and return to the decorated lanes as the lights come on.

Cross into Germany and discover Freiburg’s old-town squares and festive stalls. Enjoy a change of flavours, browse for a decoration to take home, and leave time for a warm café between your discoveries.

Continue to Basel for the final chapter of your journey. Explore the old town with your guide, then enjoy time among the Christmas stalls. Make the last evening your own: a favourite flavour, a final photograph, one more turn around the square.

Enjoy a final morning before saying goodbye to your guide and fellow travellers. The end time and meeting arrangements will be confirmed before booking so you can plan your onward journey.
